Bacco Italian + Wine Bar Dessert Menu
I designed a double-sided dessert menu for Bacco Italian + Wine Bar in Abingdon, MD, as part of a full menu revamp prompted by the launch of new dessert offerings.
To elevate the brand, I incorporated my own linework illustrations and selected new typefaces that aligned with Bacco’s dinner and drink menus, ensuring cohesion across all touchpoints. The design reflects the restaurant’s elegant, high-quality atmosphere while maintaining usability for both guests and staff.
Having previously worked as a server at Bacco, I had first-hand insight into the menu flow and guest experience, which guided my design decisions. Initially, the menu featured a black background with white type for a dramatic look. However, after testing, we found the black faded quickly with frequent cleaning. I adapted the design to a white background with black type—maintaining sophistication while improving durability and functionality.
